What is included in the Cable Car Ticket? 

With your Cable Car Ticket, you have free access to the entire park to enjoy all the complimentary programming and make use of all facilities. Additionally, you are entitled to cable car rides from Praia Vermelha to Morro da Urca and from Morro da Urca to Sugarloaf Mountain, the highest point of the tour. 

Plan to spend a whole day with family and friends exploring viewpoints, shops, restaurants, and all the experiences at Cable Car Park.

THE EXPERIENCE
 

The journey at Parque Bondinho Pão de Açúcar® begins at the Vermelha Beach Station, ascends to Urca Hill, and continues to Sugarloaf Mountain. Connected by two cable car lines, the route offers breathtaking views at any time of the day. Enjoy the lush nature of the Atlantic Forest, the contour of the mountains, and the city’s stunning architecture. You’ll take in Rio de Janeiro’s main beaches and landmarks, such as: The majestic Tijuca Massif and Corcovado Mountain with the Christ the Redeemer statue; Guanabara Bay with Botafogo Cove in the background; Serra do Mar with its famous peak, "Dedo de Deus" (God’s Finger); and much more. Plan for a full day of experiences with family and friends, explore attractions and cultural events, and visit our stores, bars, and restaurants.

Elementary, High School, Graduate, Postgraduate, MBA, Masters and Doctorates): original or certified copy of the National Student Identification Card (CNIE), within the validity period or:

Public Schools: Presentation of the official identity card, with photo (or certified copy), accompanied by: RioCard-School or document, proving his/hers enrollment as a student, within the period of validity.

Particular Schools: Presentation of the official identity card, with photo (or certified copy), accompanied by: Payment slip to the institution of the current printed month or document proving the student’s enrollment, within the validity period.

Foreign Students: Present a student identification card with a photo.

  • + 60 years old

From 60 years old with an official identity card, with photo (or certified copy).

  • Pwd and companion

Presentation of the official identity card, with photo (or certified copy), accompanied by a Special Card, RioCard, Vale Social, Federal Pass, CRAS or medical report (original or certified copy) issued by a public health agency. The discount is limited to 1 companion per PWD.

  • Teachers and teaching professionals - municipal public network of Rio de Janeiro, according to municipal law no. 3.424/02, of Rio de Janeiro

Subimission of the official identity card, with photo (or certified copy) and Functional Card issued by the Municipal Department of Education or paycheck indentifying the employer or school and position he/she holds.

  • Professional of the municipal cleaning company (Comlurb), of the municipality of Rio de Janeiro, according to municipal law nº 8.251/2024, of Rio de Janeiro.

Presentation of official identification document with photo (or certified copy) and Functional Card or Badge issued by the official body.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policies

It is possible to cancel or reschedule orders made through the website under the following conditions, regarding the scheduled time for the tour:

  • 24 hours or more in advance: It will be possible to cancel and reschedule an unlimited number of times, subject to availability.
  • Less than 24 hours in advance until the tour starts: It will be possible to reschedule only once, based on the Park’s availability. After rescheduling, no further changes can be made, regardless of the new scheduled time. Cancellations will be allowed with 20% of the ticket value withheld by Parque Bondinho.
  • After the scheduled time has begun: Unfortunately, cancellation or rescheduling will not be possible, and 100% of the ticket value will be retained, even in case of a no-show.

Our address is Av. Pasteur, 520 - Urca, Rio de Janeiro.

Subway

Disembark in Botafogo station, through exit E - Mena Barreto. Walk to the final stop of the bus 513, in Rua Voluntários da Pátria, to take it and get off in UNIRIO University. From there, walk 260 meters until you reach Bondinho Park.

Bicycle

Parque Bondinho does not offer bike racks, but you can leave your bicycle near the newsstand opposite to Árabe da Urca restaurant, quite close to Parque Bondinho. Bring your padlock. Some meters before, in Av. Pasteur, there is also an Itaú Bike station available.

Car

We do not have rotating parking. Visitors to Parque Bondinho have an exclusive benefit and pay only R$18 per day for parking at Botafogo Praia Shopping (Praia de Botafogo, 400 – Botafogo, RJ). When it's time to leave, just go to the 4th floor, to the attendant at the parking counter. There, you present your Parque Bondinho ticket (physical or PDF) to activate the discount.

Ferry

The visitors from the city of Niterói or from Governador and Paquetá Islands may take a ferry to Praça XV. Then, they either walk to Largo da Carioca (740 meters) or catch Line 2 of VLT (Light Rail Vehicle) until Cristiano Ottoni - Pequena África station to take the bus 107 (Central). Get off in UNIRIO University and walk 180 meters until Parque Bondinho.

Bus

The main lines that lead to Bondinho Park are:

  • 107 - Central - Urca (Bus Rapid System - BRS - 1, through Flamengo Beach)
  • 513SP - Urca - Botafogo Subway Station (Through Rio Sul Shopping - Integration with the subway)
  • 518 - Urca - Botafogo (Circular) - through Copacabana
  • 519 - Urca - Copacabana - through Botafogo
  • 167 - Terminal Gentileza - Urca (Circular – Through Marcello Alencar)
Access Rules

Not allowed:

  • Filming or photographing for commercial purposes, without prior authorization from the company.
  • Porting or using Drones.
  • Access with large materials (eg tripod, musical instruments, umbrella, beach chair, cooler/styrofoam, bulky costumes, suitcases or equipment over 25 x 35 x 55 cm).
  • Access or remain shirtless, in bathing suits or barefoot.
  • Eat or drink inside the trams or bring food without a sealed package.
  • Access with skateboard, scooter, skates or shoes with built-in wheels, bicycle or similar.
  • Access with a ball or balloon.
  • Children or teenagers under 16 (sixteen) years old access or stay in the park unaccompanied by their parents or legal guardians. Those responsible for minors must present documentation proving the kinship relationship of up to third degree (fathers, mothers, brothers, uncles, nephews, grandparents), or parental authorization, as provided by law.
  • Plant or remove species of flora.
  • Practice any type of depredation of the environment.
  • Feeding, approaching or hunting the animals.
  • Carrying firearms, ammunition, self-defense devices (pepper spray, stun guns), sharp or pointed objects.
  • Access with flammable or explosive objects or liquids.
  • Loud sound, using horns, whistles, large megaphones or artificial devices that emit noise, as well as playing musical or other instruments.
  • Carry out various manifestations.
  • Access with animals, except guide dogs or emotional support dogs with supporting documentation.
  • Use the park's restrooms for bathing.
  • Access using helmets or covers that hide the face - LAW 6717/14.
  • Commercialize any type of product or service without prior authorization from the company.
  • Carry out any apology for crime.
  • Access the Park with bottles, cups, or glass containers, whether containing alcoholic or non-alcoholicbeverages.
